My name is Luke, I am a CATCH Canine Academy certified Trainer(CCDT). Using Positive Reinforcement Training Techniques(reward based methods) to encourage & maintain behaviors.
My Story
I've always loved dogs, and after years of searching, my wife and I adopted Laney, an 11-year-old husky whose previous owner couldn't keep her in a city apartment. She fit right in with our other two dogs, and we were excited to give her a great home, even knowing she was a senior. We called her "Sweetheart" because she was so joyful.
Sadly, only a few months later, Laney developed facial swelling. After an emergency vet visit, she was diagnosed with lymphoma. By Monday morning, it was clear nothing more could be done, and Laney passed away that day.
Losing Laney transformed my love for dogs into a drive to help others. Her memory inspired me to start Ruff Pups, dedicated to helping dogs and their owners grow and thrive together.
